Dated results and a defined scope

In its 11 February 2026 report covering results through 31 December 2025, UNDP records 553 primary schools delivered, 316 health centres built and equipped, and 68 operational administrative buildings. It also reports 41 contracts worth approximately USD 183 million awarded to Congolese firms in its implementation portfolio.

These are concrete territorial-development milestones, with a specific reporting date and scope. The publication distinguishes results from priorities still to pursue.

A local example in Bitule

In October 2025, UNDP described the reconstruction of ALEKA UNDA 1 school in Bitule, Maniema. It reported enrolment rising from 320 to over 800 pupils, equipped premises and a school committee involved in maintenance.

This is a documented local example, not evidence of identical outcomes everywhere. It connects a facility to its use and upkeep.

Facilities and local life

Our reading values bringing services closer to residents. A facility becomes useful through its relationship with local needs, other services and access routes.

A practical project record identifies location, facility type, handover date, responsible organisation, observed use and maintenance arrangements. These details make progress understandable.

Following service continuity

A useful assessment follows facilities over time: continued use, maintenance and ways for communities to report needs. Service continuity is part of local development.

Education, health and infrastructure dossiers extend this perspective from users’ needs and connections between places.
